HELP!!!Windshield to T-top gap!!!
I just got a new windshield installed on my Camaro. The gap from the top of the windshield weatherstrip to the T-top is about a 1/4". I know this has got to be incorrect. I can see the red paint in between the t-top and the windshield. I knew I should have taken pictures of the factory windshield!!!
Can someone take a look at their Camaro and tell me how big the gap is? Please provide a pic so I can send it to the company who installed the it!
I will have pics up soon showing the part I need a picture of!

Here is what happened to your car. (it happened to me, that is how I know)
The windshield you now have is a cheap aftermarket piece. It was made by a company that makes their windshields by laying their template over top of the original. It works for most aplications but not for our F-bodys.
All I had to do was call them up and tell them it fit funny and they fixed it the next day, with out asking for an extra cent.
You should not have a problem either.

yeah. I noticed right away that some thing was wrong, but it took me a min. to figure out hat it was. Don't worry they should fix it with no problem.

Well, here are pics that I got of my car. The gaps are way to big and there are a couple of other things I see that I don't like. I would love to take it somewhere else, but that is not an option now.
Here you can see the paint in between the t-top and the top of the windshield.
Here is the almost a 1/4" gap.
More gap on the passenger side.
Here you can see an edge of the glass where they cut the weatherstrip to short.
Take a look at this gap! (Driverside)
You can see on the driverside and here on the passenger side where the paint wore away from the weatherstipping.
Close-up of the paint worn away. The weatherstrip should be on top of this.
Last but not least, but why does the cowl cover not sit flush with the windshield now?
It's gotta be because the windshield is not high enough.

yeah man that looks real cheezball, i can understand the fitment and stuff, but when that guy was putting it one he knew it wasnt right if he didnt he needs to get a new job. thats the thing that bothers me the most about some people, its like do it right once, if you dont have enough time to do it right the first time then what makes you think you will have time to fix it, i dont know good luck, i checked my gap and it just looks well stock, it looks like it comes up higher and the cowling sits so flush its hard to get nail under it, good luck

Here is my boss' T/A. It's got alot of miles like mine, but he is the original owner and it has the original windshield and everything fits perfect! These are also better pics which were taken in the day.

Wow, no need for me to send you any pictures. Mine does not look anything like that. I will still email a couple so that you have more than one set to show whoever did that. I totally agree with what was said above...whatever knucklehead did that knew it wasn't the way it was supposed to fit.
