Help me!! 1998 z28
Ok I have a 1998 Z28 6 speed and I just installed a basically whole new suspension with some C6 wheels. When Im driving it it starts to stutter then goes. I mash down on the gas and the engine acts like its not getting any fuel and my shifter starts shaking pretty bad. Does anyone know whats goin on? Drive shaft? Fuel line? WHAT?!!

i would think it could have to do with your suspension...does it bog ? like out the hole ..then takes off fine ? list what you have done to your car and your suspension....also what size tires etc...is your abs light constantly coming on ? do you have traction control ?

Yeah I checked my tranny mount and its fine cause thats what I thought it was originally. I bought one just in case. I have Bilstein shocks, eibach springs, torque arm, new control arms/ panhard rod. Front tires are 245 Kuhmos, rears are 285s. 18s in front 19s in back. Full exhaust with long tubes headers, magnaflow CME, ORY pipe.

yeah I have traction control too. I turned it off just to see if it was a computer thing with the wheels being so big but that wasnt it. Yeah it like bogs down hard core and then takes off suddenly and then might bog down again

It doesnt sound like a supension problem at all, sounds more like a fuel issue or ignition issue.

well, your engine IS connected to the drivetrain...
if your engine is boggin/surging you will feel it through the car and drivetrain...
do you have a CEL llight on? what about possible bad O2's? fouled spark plugs, loose wires, etc? do a shake down of all the induction, plugs, O2's etc, and see if the problem lies there...

Yeah my check engine light has been on for awhile ever since I had had my headers installed and they came with new O2's. I wouldnt imagine it would be that but I will have to check. No loose wires or bad spark plugs cause they are new. The guy that installed my headers cut that hose in the throttle body. He works at a Chevy dealer and did this as a side job and said I didnt really need it so he cut it. Sometimes my car idles around 1500 then goes back down to 1000. So you think its fuel related?

Check to make sure none of your plug wires have melted on your headers. Namely on the drivers side. I know mine did and caused that same thing to happen. Inspect that and then get your SES codes read to see if there is something other than your O2 sensors, namely a P0300....

cut the hose in the throttle body?? the one on the top of the intake manifold...if so..did he cap it ..if not you would be running a vacuum leak and that would answer your problems
