I have had good luck with Hookers, my favorite header for my older cars. Shouldn't have any issues hitting the 4 speed if it's all factory. Should be a muncie in there behind a factory 396 car if it's a factory stick car, not a cast iron saginaw.
Sounds like something may have been switched around in which case you could have some fitment problems. Different motor mounts? Aftermarket cylinder heads with raised exhuast ports? Even stuff like that shouldn't give you too many fits. Goodluck....Larry.

she is in bad shape right now, body is straight so no probs, it's just that i messed my paint up. There are big plans for her. I am going on two deployments in a year and a half and once i am back from my second one she will be twin turbo'ed sitting on dse suspension.
She is sitting because i blew the tranny out. I had a fully built 350, so that killed the th-350. I bought a 700-r4 stage 2 from bow tie overdrives but figured why start driving it again, from that point i started saving money for her future as a pro touring machine. I had installed a polygraphite bushing kit, but when i went to put the springs on it was hard as hell so i just cut them that is why she sits like that.Last edited by zero_proto; 02-08-2007 at 03:42 PM.
