    Hatch Doesn't Like to Open

I've had my Camaro for two years, and ever since I bought it the hatch doesn't open easy. I'll press the button and it pops up a little, but if you try to open it it's still latched. I usually have to press the button 2-3 times.

I've heard something about how it can be fixed with a spring? Are there any threads on this? Thanks!

Very common prob with our hatches. The factory setup is too weak to fully release the hatch. You'll need to do a search to find the thread that covers this issue. I don't remember the fix for it but I believe you have to piggy back the spring with another, or intertwine them.. I have the prob too but I use my key fob to release it and then grab it with my other hand.

Someone around here if I remember correctly said check (I agree) your hatch struts. Some have replaced them and their hatch release began to work fine. I'm lazy I like using my remote
