Does he have anything done to it??
There is a local SRT8 charger running around here that dips into the 11's on motor only,,,,wouldn't know by looking at it under the hood, only thing obvious is a cold air intake.

I have kept up with SRT8 Magnums easy and I am basically stock short of a few bolt ons. I think you will be more than fine, goodluck!

You should be able to pull him pretty easily. I raced one a few months back and walked him really easily.
For what it's worth, an LS6 block isn't giving you any extra power. What mods are on your car? Just curious...

Wow everyone seems very confident about this but I'm not so optimistic.
No one seems to know if anything at all has been done to the SRT8,,,,really don't know what you're dealing with,,,could be a stocker or it could be an 11 second machine,,,,thats the fun of racing...
I'm sure mglangley's camaro runs great,,,but I think it's premature to say he will win hands down. I never say never when it comes to street racing.
Make it happen and see what the outcome is. It's all supposed to be fun anyway,,,right???

Okay thank you. That's what I was trying to get at. If it was just an LS6 block it's no different than the LS1 block power wise. The LS6 gets its power from better heads and a bigger cam. I was trying to find out if all he had was the block, or the whole engine including heads and cam.
A lot of people have LS6 blocks and mistakingly think that means they have more power than someone with an LS1.

From my experience, Stock for stock they seem to run similar at this altitude - (425 HP Charger - F Body LS1 A4) What makes him think his car would be faster since you have all those upgrades ? I have been in several HEMIS including SRT8s that I thought were nothing to write home about. If he is stock, in my opinion, you would walk all over him. My hunch is probably he is planning on using NOS or something against you if he is truly convinced he will beat you.

Firebirdjones said it already....
So many people claim stock, but have plenty of mods. Or a hidden nitrous kit.
Run him...for fun. No money.
Report back.

lol i used to be one of "those" people with a couple of my budys we had a good friend that installed what he called " peak a boo kits" on ls1's real easy on the 2000 and up on the driver side of the air lid...stock ones that is theres that 3/4 whose that comes out and runs down along the wheal well. then once your down there you cut a small slit in the underside of the whose and then one in the black wheal well plastic and run the lines throw there and snug them up close to the frame and basicly run them along side by side your fuel and brake lines to the back and then drill a whole going up into your trunk by your spare tire or the other side and install your remote shut off there and hook your bottle up there up against the body real nice and pretty lol ..... MAN HOW I MISS THE GOOD OH DAYS OF STREET RACING AND CONING CON-ERS LOL
