got weighed!

just fyi, i had my car weighed the other day with the car basically empty. close to empty tank, nothing in the car, although i had my spare in still. and remember my car is a hardtop 6 speed coupe. i weighed 3420... i was a little disapointed i thought id be in the 33s but it wont be hard to get there!

mine weighed 3660 with me in it and a full tank. Spare was in there too. I weigh 175-180.

Weighed mine last month, holy crap it was 3,700 with me in it 1/2 tank and no spare. I'm 165. Had no clue it was that heavy. Wifes 82 bird was 3140. It takes 50 to 60hp to make up that differance.

around 3350 is what the dyno said but i never actually, down to the oz weighed it though. no weight reduction to my knowledge

My 02 SS convertable weighs 3,620 lbs with 1/2 tank of gas and no driver. I'm 200 lbs. so that puts the car at 3,820 lbs. if racing with 1/2 tank.
Gas is 6 lbs. per gallon so the car could weigh another 50 lbs. easily with gas.

My wifes 2000 SS T-top with 6 speed weighs 3,540 lbs. with 1/2 tank and no driver. Again with me the car is at 3,740 lbs.

No weight reduction in any of those cars other than headers,,,,still running stock spare, all floor mats etc....

Ya they aren't as light as some people make them out to be unless we are talking about a stripped down model. Friends of mine have had theirs on the scales too and they all came in at 35-3600 lbs. or more,,one T-top car hit 3,700 without a driver.

Just for giggles, my 72 SS 454 chevelle hits 4,108 lbs. with me in it, 3/4 tank of gas and no spare tire. With a full tank and spare it would be close to 4,200........Top that.
