friend picked up 82 camaro w/ 383 stroker!!

Today my friend traded his 05 honda quad(dont know anything about them lol but that thing is fast!) w/ cam and exhaust for a 1982 z28 383 stroker w/ a muncie 4 speed, centerforce clutch, full excell plug wires and dist., headers, holley 750 high rise carb the guy said it dyno 410 rwhp but, the only bad thing is that the rear end is a 1 tire fire rear end. It was weird cause the speedo only goes it 85mph and the tac redlines 5000 rpm. Looks like it was a v6 but, when looking up the VIN it shows z28. Did the 82 z28 come w/ those gauges and a 1 tire fire rear? All the z's ive EVER had had a limited slip or posi rear.... Heres some pics of the car

Yup, speedo goes to 85 and the posi was optional.

I had one, ordered it from the factory, it was my first Camaro.

The SS (see sig) is my second.

wow, I did not know that ive owned a 1989 RS a 91 z28 and a 92 z28 and all of them had a 150 speedo and limited slip/posi but that car sure moves for having a 1 tire fire

You have to remember the national speed limit was 55 MPH.

The 305 engine was 145 HP. Red line was at 105 MPH.

my 91rs tbi 305 has a 115 speedo i believe and one wheel peel... not a bad car... what i learned to wrench on and possible cuttin into a bracket car...
