Firebird vs. Camaro
Alright guys. As some of you know I am looking for my first Ls1 but I am not sure whether to go with an SS or a WS6. So reply to this thread and let me know which one you think is better.

Really? I can't stand that color. Your hugger orange SS is pretty sweet though. I would take that over Blue any day. What is the SLP package? and does the the firebird have an Equivalent?

Firehawk is the SLP version. One of the few things SLP did right.
Can't go wrong with a black WS.6....but I might be a little biased.2008 Trailblazer SS

I thought the firehawk was slower than the ws6. But yeah, that would be awsome to get a black ws6 m6!!!!!!
Soooo. What exactly is SLP????

They are an aftermarket performance parts company.
They did some aftermarket things to a few GM vehicles as well.
Not a fan of them. Their customer service is terrible and their parts aren't worth the price they are asking.

haha, ya, alot of people seem to hate SLP. the subframe connectors didn't go on as easy as they should've, had to grind the bolt holes bigger to get them to go on right. looking back I kinda wish I went with BMR.

My personal preference was a Navy Blue Metallic Camaro SS. I love both cars, the SS and the WS6, however I prefer the 2002 Camaro SS 10-spoke chrome wheels over the WS6 wheel options, so I went with the Camaro. I’ve always thought black looks really good as well, however I’m a “high contrast” guy from an appearance standpoint…..Dark colored car with dark tinted windows properly accented with shiny chrome, or stainless stell (wheels, exhaust tips, etc.).
Either way, both cars are super sharp looking on the road and both have a monster under the hood….so it’s a win-win either way you go!

Your money....
And that is why a car modded the exact same but using parts that work better and cost less will beat you.
Listen, I am sick of explaining it....
Very short version. SLP uses outdated designs, has no customer service (after purchase, they will suck you off to get you to spend $$), and costs WAY too much.
But you are right, I have no idea what I am talking about.Last edited by Mr. Luos; 02-16-2007 at 08:00 AM.
