How well do they work as far as brightness goes?
-
01-24-2009, 01:35 PM #4
well still no HID bulbs so they are not that bright

Yours are a bit different than mine. I have aftermarket too though.
Mine suck! And, I did get some HID bulbs. Not a conversion kit or anything, just 5900K replacement bulbs. They still suck and now leak when it rains around the molding
If I use my high beams I can see further than 8' in front of my car though
I need new lights!

I'm not a big fan of those lights. looks a bit ricer-ish!

I mean the lights look appealing, but...I have had problems with them and the molding, leaking, etc...and so have other people I found out. I guess just keep your eye on those few items, and make sure they don't break under your watch. Other then that they are looking good for Halo's.

I hate that anything anybody does aftermarket these days, that looks different than regular boring headlights, is dubbed "ricerish".... looks good to me, a lot better than the boring stock headlights. Quality is sometimes an issue, but that comes with buying anything aftermarket. Do what you want with what you got. At least it doesn't have a 5 foot tall wing and a can of Folger's sticking out the back.

Um....I don't think ANYTHING is ricer looking. just some things. Cmon, where did halo's even come from, not from america. THIS is why it looks ricer like. I do agree on one thing tho, whatever u do to ur car is YOUR choice, and it doesn't matter what anyone else says. Projectors look gangsta without looking ricey. dual halo's and 6 led's AND another light is too much for me, but once again, it's ur thing. Go wit it. It ain't necessarily a "DO WHAT U WANT WIT WHAT U GOT" issue, cuz headlights don't come cheap, so it ain't like u trying to save a buck by going halo. lol. Me personally, I'm gonna go with the projector headlights.Last edited by dneemorelos; 01-26-2009 at 03:21 AM.

It is actually funny because the first "Angel Eye" lights came with the BMW's which aren't Japanese at all as we know. So technically saying these lights look "ricerish" or w/e is incorrect. It is just that they are so popular that they come for many models of vehicles...including our own. I personally just like the stock looking halos because I beleive our lights do kick ass....you just need to make them appeal better then stock.
