    Factory Hurst Shifter

Quick question. Both of my ls1 cars (99 z28, 00 z28) have the factory Hurst Shifter, but the 99 has a straight stick for the shifter, and the 00 has one with a bend in the middle. Did they make different shifters during the four year run of our cars? Im just curious. I know my 99 was Hurst equipped as I have the original window sticker for it. As for the 00, Im pretty sure thats the stock shifter. Any ideas?

Our 00 SS has the factory hurst with the bent shaft as well. Our previous 6 speed car was just a stock shifter,,,,it also had a bent shaft but was much longer than the hurst,,,obviously.

Thats what I was thinking. One way to know for sure would be to pull the console and boot and look at the mounting point.

Seems the aftermarket sticks don't have the isolators,,,where as the factory installed shifters do have the isolators so they don't transmitt so much noise and vibration up through the shifter.
The aftermarket sticks without the isolators transmitt more transmission and drivetrain noise up through the console.
