factory brand Pewter metallic

hi,
i have a 2001 Camaro with the color Light Pewter Metallic (11U).
I need to repaint the mirrors, but Pewter metallic is a dificult color to match,

Can someone tell me what brand of paint GM used for these Camaro's ?

is it Dupont or PPG ?

Just go to an auto paint store and have them match it.

Light Pewter Metallic should not be a difficult color to match, as it's been out for over 10 years now. I own my third pewter Camaro and I've had to have this one repainted both in the front and rear and the color match came out just fine. True, the first couple of years after it's introduction, that could have been the case, but not now.

In the Netherlands, the painter in the naberhood uses Sikkens paint, and he repainted the mirrors 4 times last year, and they didn't match (i think the colorcode of Sikkens is not right).

I found a painter who uses PPG and i found another one who uses Dupont.
So this is the reason i want to know what factory paint GM used in 2001 on a Camaro

It all depends on who you go through. I work at a GM dealership and we have our own bodyshop. We just use the color codes provided by GM and I think we're using Dupont paints right now.
