Exhaust Help
I have a 98 Z28 that's not stock. I chose to go with hooker headers, off-road y-pipe, no cats (obviously) and borla exhaust with no plates. Looking to quite the car, because it has become obnoxiously loud. I do race (street/strip) but like to use it in the summer cruising. Would like to keep some of the noise but quiet it some so I am not disturbing the nieghbors at 5 in the morning. Any suggestions. Am willing to replace the borla if necessary.

Thanxs but not sure I want to go that route any other suggestions. The engineering company that built my car for me had suggested for us to go without cats. I believe the problem is because one side of my exhaust goes through a muffler and the other is a straight pipe, not sure if I could put a muffler on the straight pipe. Anyone know?

Can't you just put the/a plate in? I thought the plate would force all the exhaust throught the muffler, and without a plate, it is basically unmuffled.

Thought about that before, but sold the intital plates and not sure whereI can get the plates without buying a whole new borla kit. Any suggestions.
