is this even posible???
a buddy of mine said this guy he knows runs 12.70's @ 110 with a lid and a catback is that even possible? im guessing the lid a cat back and an awesome tune would make at the most 30 horses to the wheels. but he didnt say anything about a tune its a m6 car full interior. im asuming he was at a drag strip with slicks under good positions unless hes just a bad ass driver. the car is an 01 z28 m6 is it even possible? i thought they ran 13.80's stock?????

mystic teal metallic- 1998 Z/28
July 99 GM HIGH TECH Issue, claims 12.89 bone stock 99 6-spd The article's Name was BAD ASPHALT!
Headline was; How do you go 12s with a99 Z28? just leave the dealer, head to the nearest drag strip and let the clutch fly.
My 98-Z went 13.0 + 13.1 on st tires with a flowmaster cat back,lid + k+n,mild converter,shift kit,323's, + its a tire burner so it should be in the 12's with traction.
But that 110 trap speed sounds awfully high.

What was his 60 ft time? That's where it's at. If he can launch that thing at a sub 1.8 60 than yes it is possible.

Pewter- 2000 Z28 Camaro
Which is so hard to believe? The e.t. or the trap speed? My A4/2.73 car ran a 13.44 best e.t. and a 107.43 best trap speed. My car is basically stock. I've gotta believe that a mildly modified M6 or an A4 with a stall would be running in the high 12's easily. 110 mph is reasonably consistent with the 12.8 e.t.

Anything is possible with a freak , I've heard of a M6 SS running 12.90's bone stock with only tire pressure adjustments , "only"

Ahh... no you didn't. Maybe you smoked a 02 Blown V6 Stang, or maybe you won the short game due to a bad driver losing traction... or maybe you did a fly-by... but no stock Z.... actually, nothing less than a full bolt-on Z is smoking a blown GT. Sorry to rain on your parade.
