Is ebony black or what

Have any of you guys noticed when you order ebony items like carpets for the 2002 models that they come in charcoal gray. I have had this happen a few times in the past. Ebony is black right? I have a feeling they try to make a color that all models 93-2002 can use.

They can call it whatever they want, but I agree that a lot of items referred to as "ebony" are more of a charcoal gray in color.

I originally came with Ebony but I order my new carpet form YearOne in Black and it came in black. Not hard to do as far as doing the carpet, just plan for 4-6 hours. Mine took 2 days because I did sound deadner, carpet change, recovered the head liner to black and color change on the plastic panels to black. I still have the cent er consul to do but over all not difficult to do.
