Don't camaro ss' havea dash plaque that says 'ss'?

Looking stvan ss but above the stereo it says camaro only.. Just caught my attention sobi thought Id ask. I thought all the ss' have one that says camaro ss .

well mine ss is 02 and it has 35th anniversary above the sterio and has one above the glove compartment. not sure if they come from factory like that

No dash plaque. Maybe SLP offered it as an option, but I've never seen it.

This is odd because I'm looking at an 00 and I've never seen an ss without it :/

The SS dash plaque was an SLP option, just like the SS keychain, SS floormats, SS deckmat. Some SS's have 'em, some don't.

All 2002 Camaros have the 35th Anniversary badge above the stereo.

Your SS can be verified if it has a WU8 option code (along with all the other option codes) on the drivers door. If it went to SLP it'll have an additional sticker with SLP options on the passenger door.

I checked out your pic in your profile. Nice looking SS. Looks like somebody jacked it up in the wrong place on the passenger side though (fender bulge). It's happened to a lot of F-bodies.

Also...if you look at the driver door sticker, only SS's came with 17" wheel's. Therefore, look for the "Tire size/pressure" sticker and look at the rim size. If it says 17" it's an SS. If it says 16" it isn't an SS.

And no, not all SS's came with the "SS" dash plaques. I bought an nice looking original for my '01 SS off of eBay years ago for $50.
