    checkin off the project list

well...slowly but surely the points are being checked off the list. the car was somewhat of a project car when i got it. and no i don't mean that it was all beat to hell...it was actually in really good shape. but the drivers side seat belt was kinda messed up, the turn signal doesn't come back on its own and the cruise control didn't work.

    well so far...

    seat belt - check
    cruise control - check
turn signal - not done yet
squeeky accessory drive - check (new belts)
plugs - hopefully today after lunch
trans fluid and diff fluid change - probably not today
leather shift boot and retainer ring - check

like i say...slowly but surely it is all getting done. and a thanks to members on here for helping me with the cruise control (clutch switch issue) and for the seat belt (fella was parting out his car). gotta love the supportive online community.

just finished the spark plugs...took what...about 3 hours...arg. sarge was right though...much easier to get at #8 when you take off the coil rail. a ratcheting box end would have made the job go much much quicker...but either way it's done. car runs a lot smoother now.

good day...plugs and seat belt. i feel productive.

Lol sounds like your getting it done, a little trick iv learned and have been doing for plug number 8 is from the bottom
Slide your spark plug socket over the plug
Then take a 3/4" rachet wrench and just back it out.
Works like a charm every time.. Just my 02

there were moments i seriously thought about getting the jack out and sliding under the car...but i was in the wrong driveway to use the jack.

the best thing i did was purchase a 1 inch and a 3 inch extension for my 3/8" drive. i had neither previously but thought that they might come in handy for the spark plugs and i ended up using both of them on different plugs.
