Check out my new Z
So I picked up this Z pretty cheap, definately needs a few things, but I've always wanted a LS1 for a DD, and one for a track only car. This has been subsided as of this morning because of a raging idiot hitting my pewter Z. You can find that story in the AAG section Anyways...
Its a white '99 Z28, auto, recent rebuilt trans, hardtop, cloth (same as my '00), with a high count of 165k miles on it. It's got aftermarket 17" polished TT2s, SLP LM, Lid, and some aftermarket stereo system with an amp and a sub (not into that stuff). The car sat for a year, threw a battery in it, and it fired right up when I went to look at it. Here it is, 2 weeks later at the house. This same night, Jimmy (EVIL-LS1) and his pop's towed the car home for me in the rain, so I'd like to make another thank you to the both of them. Here's a few shots of it, before and after. The wheels still need ALOT of work!

Good looking car I love the tt2's. Move to see that it will be used for a good purpose not a yard decoration. I got a nice $500 dd celica a.couple years ago the same way. Sat in a used wasting away. Just need a battery, some freon, and a fuse to get everything on it working. I painted it and drove it for 2yrs and sold it for just what I had put.into it. Always great to save a car from rotting away especially if you can get a LS1 like that. I would have bought that myself if I saw it.

My girlfriend has her Yukon that I usually use to pull it around, but my boat now resides at my mother's place, which is in a neighborhood with dock access. That way, if I feel like putting it in or taking it out, I can just use my mother's truck, if my girl is working or out running errands But with what has transpired with my car (the pewter z), I may just let her handle everything so she can get herself the trans am she has been wanting for a while now

$1,000! Thats a steal, I paid 4,000 for mine and it needed a hood, fenders, fascia, and lights. If I saw one for that price I would have pulled the trigger too.
Junkyard bought and "refurbished" 2002 Camaro Z28 - Pacetter Race LT's, TS&P ORY, Frost tune, Magnaflow, Ported TB, SLP Lid, Circle D 3000, 3.73's, SFC's.

It still needs a power steering pump (one in the trunk, brand new and still in the box that he never put on), a steering wheel (he broke it the last time he drove it, pulled towards himself instead of side-to-side), a new windshield, and the radio/windows are faulty, which I beleive to the common BCM solder failure and fix, but have yet to dig into it.
So $1k I beleive to be a good deal, yes.... but a steal? Ehh, we'll see how much money it takes to make a nice DD

The pewter Z doesn't look that bad for being hit from behind by a truck.

No, I've got a '98 ProStar with a monstertower. It throws a good enough wake for what I need as of now. I think I went out on maybe 10 times this year, and it's in another state right now. Let my buddy borrow it a month ago, hope to get it back this week so I can winterize. I don't plan on upgrading to an X-series anytime soon. I'm hoping to buy a 07+ Suburban sometime next year, but we'll see how it works out. Too many options, not enough money
Beleive it or not, those pictures were taken wednesday afternoon, and the car got hit Thursday morning. I definately need to take pictures though, so I can have something to show the insurance company (although the cops already have their own on file. It was enough to bend my exhaust piping and muffler, thats all I can tell from underneath
