I don't know about the challanger, but I did race an RT charger with a full bolt on LT1 and put about 3 cars on him.

    Unhappy

I was just curious. Ive heard a lot of hype about the srt but no real eye witness responses. Apparently they're just as overestimated as the Mustangs!!! They do look good though, for a non f-body! I guess that counts for something.

i saw a new srt challenger run at a track i think it ran high 13s but it was not hooking up at all it just smoked the tires for at least 60 feet. if i remember right the mph was not extemely high either, i think it was around 107 to 108, nothing a camaro couldn't hang with. this was last year.

I like the style of the challanger I just think its too damn heavy. 4200lbs. What were they thinking? With 425hp it should be running 12's bone stock. The factory says it will run 13.2 in the quarter, we'll see. I've pulled up along a couple of them on the street but none of them so far have wanted to try there luck.

I agree every single one I've pulled up to doesn't want to play and those things look nice but in the end they're just a giant heavy boat.

Or worse, a new Camaro... I will say (as shallow as it may be), that it was nice having an Out-Of-Production car...

i heard an SRT-8 Charger today, sounded sick

the thing about either SRT-8 is that they're pretty heavy, more power than our cars but I do believe they're like 200 lbs or more heavier

I have seen a srt8 300c run at the track and i never saw him get below a 13.50. but another guy that was there said that with a few mods he has his running 13.05 in his 300c. performance wise they are not much different than camaros. IMHO

I wouldn't say that about that Charger....It's ideal for a K/B or any other type of F/I (9.X:1 C/R factory)

200 lbs heavier..!! Ha... try about 6 to 700 lbs heaver..!! i weight my Maro at the track it weight 3650 or 3550.. can't remember it exact but it was about 2yrs ago at sac. and they weigh 4200 excluding driver.. remember each 100 lbs = 10hp. So 600lbs= 60hp...!! Its pretty much a drivers race, but I think we will get to 150mph faster in a M6 compared to a Auto.
