Catalytic converters on 4th gen 's

Can someone here confirm whether 4th gen camaro's ever came with 4 cat's more specific 2002 SS

I know Lt1's were single till '95 California cars and I know in 1998 they were still dual cat cars.

    Thanks

Someone who has a 2002 SS says they have 4 cats they claim they have 2 pup cats and 2 regular cats before the Y-Pipe.

I think they don't know what they have but want to confirm as after 2000 I never really paid attention.

Only 2 cats, he might have 2 resonators on it or something. I've never even heard of pup cats.

i've seen quite a few 4th gen f-bod's come through the shop... and none of them (including mine) ever had 4 cats. so i agree with everyone else. 8's had 2 cats, and 6's had 1. maybe your buddy had 2 extra cats put in?

I've never heard that before either, not stock anyways. I can see if you car is stupid loud and you have extra cats on it but never came across anyone with that particular setup. Your buddy don't know what the hell he is talking about.

The engineers that design our cars refer to them as pup cats. It means pre-cats.
