I just bought a brand new SLP grill, and it went into all kinds of detailed PAGES of instructions as to how to remove the factory grill (mine was fortunately already removed by the former owner) by first removing the ENTIRE facsia...

Then it goes on to say that if you want to render the factory grill useless, basically yank the hell out of it, and forget all the other instructions. I laughed my ass off.

    Front bumper removal

i took mine off this winter. the BEST way is to remove the bumper...

The grill is mounted with 3 bolts from the inside. it is virtually impossible to remove it without either breaking the bolts or removing the bumper.
i was afraid of cracking the bumper itself and/or cracking the paint, so i took it off. it really wasn't very hard.

    First:
    - pull the 5 plastic push pins the top of the bumper in front of the intake and the 3 on the underside in front of the radiator.
    - then remove the black shrouding underneath to give you access to the bolts (it may be helpful to remove the black fender well shrouding too)
    - get a M10 deep well socket and a ratchet to remove the 4 vertical bolts.
    - then maneuver your way to the final M10 horizontal bolt that is just behind the turn signals.
    - finally wiggle the whole bumper around until it comes off. in the end it will need to come forward and up in order to remove it.
    - unplug the turn signal lights and fog lights and your done.

while your at it, replace the turn signals with the clear style. they look great.

    Hope that helps
    Ray

Wow, thats too bad about the warning...what did he say was illegal about them? are you running yellow lights with them or just regular white?

i haven't gotten pulled over for them. i also have my front plate mounted on the air dam.
