Camaro SS brake light
some bulbs on the third brake light are out (the one on the spoiler), so I went to change them. Do you have to replace the whole light fixture, or how do you get to the lights individually?

You have to change the entire lightbar. I can get you the model # if you like.

right on man thanks I found it. Did you change it yourself, or go to a shop? Looks like some wiring involved?

Ya there is wiring involved,,,,the stinking replacement lights don't have the connector on the end
Most people will slice and dice. I didn't want to do that so I went to GM and got the factory wire terminals and factory connector. At the time they were available for a few pennies. Made a nice clean install as the factory intended. I would assume the GM dealers would still have this stuff??

The guys are right about everything (part #) etc. When I bought mine, it was $100 for the part. GM part # 12369969

I did it myself, i had to feed the wire through the spoiler w a coat hanger to get the proper connection. It was a little bit of a pain in the ass but i've had no problems at all. No wire splicing involved at all.

I thought the big deal about LED lights were that they would last forever and the initial high cost would be off set by that fact.Just so much hype & fluff I guess.

that was at GM partsonline, usually things are a little cheaper there. I'm gonna keep looking.

If I could remember where I bought it I'd tell ya
But it came in an SLP package and the lens had SLP stamped in it with a GM part number. So it's not a knockoff. But that price difference would surely make ya think it is,,,,ouch!!!
