Camaro Or Firebird

some of u may know i bought a 1996 firebird v6 and im looking to buy a ls1 this next year. i can sell it for 5000 and i will make 2000 this summer so i will have about 7000 to buy a new car with i am 16 right now and i need somethin that i can mod and that aint gonna take a crap on me i thought the v6 would have pleanty of power but i thought rong its fun and all but i would like something a little newer but only have 7grand to do it with so i was wondering T/A, Formula, or a WS6 M6 of course. witch would be best for the money of corse the WS6 is the best but it would be older and have more miles on it. or should i look into buying Camaro i dont know witch would be cheaper. im on a budget and would like a car to customize and not rice out that is pussy shit i like amarican mussle. i watch bull run and love the 09 car the WS6 but i know i probly cant afford it. wat do u think i should do.... 90% sure the v6 will be gone by the end of this year so i wanna know what i should look into next gota be an LS1

i posted this on the WS6 postboard and i will post it on The Camaro board so i can get equal in put want an LS1 with a 6speed. just want to know witch would be cheaper Camaros or Firebirds

7k won't net you a LS1 without financing unless you find a steal. Even where I live (the south) 10k is the lowest I've seen an LS1 go for. WS6's and SS can still go for up to 15k depending on options and stuff. Best bang for your buck would be a Z28 or the Formula .Still get the LS1 and the same hp just don't get the higher price tag of of those fancy ram air hoods.

ok..you wont want a high mileage ls1 m6 ..the trans will not like a single missed shift,and will need a rebuild regardless..and for 7 you arent going to get a ls1 with less then 90k on it...i'd suggest a a4 formula.

ws6 is out of your range..a z28 might be even better then a formy for price...um yea i'd suggest a loan .

hmm even with co-signers ..like a lil 3000 loan..100 bucks a month is what it comes out to about
with around 10k you can start to play around with m6s

I picked up my 99' Z28 for 5K it was taged at 10k, You need to shop around and see what you can find. here is spokane there was a formula going for 6k didn't really stop to see what it was.

also idk if theres a big dif in what kinda car the ls1 is in and i am gonna custimize it performance wise so im looking for decent lookin ls1 car with good amount of miles to build a good car gota strant with a good base

my first ls1 car was an a4 z28 but it only had 66,000 miles on it and i got it for 7000 the guy was trying to get rid of it fast for some cash for school, you just have to look long enough to find someone that needs to get rid of it fast for the money.
