    Question Axel ratio

    I have a 2000 SS. How can I tell what axel ratio I have ?

    If it's the stock original M6 3.42, A4 3.23. Look at the RPO codes on the drivers side door will either be GU5 or GU6. If you suspect they've been changed play with the calculator at www.f-body.org/gears/

    Hey thanks. Im pretty sure it's all original. 2000 SS, 5800 original miles from original owner who special ordered it new. All documentation and maint. recpts. Only thing I don't like is he ordered it without traction control. But I couldn't pass it up.

    congrats on the new ride. very low miles. what did you pay for it? i wouldnt worry about the traction control. any pictures

    Well if you have all the paper work look at the window sticker it will tell you the axel ratio right on there. One other thing, drive and enjoy that car because the original owner didn't seem to.

    No pics yet but will soon. The guy was asking 19,500 and I offered 17,000 and he took it. Most of the 2000-2002 SS with low miules seem to be going in the low 20's so I feel I got a good deal. - Jimmy
