I had one on my formula because the previous owner hacked up the wiring fuse box.. I have to tag 2 ends of a wire with aligator clips everytime I wanted to start it (basically hotwiring it).. not fun.. so I bought one of those cheap ass button ones.. and took 2 wires and wired it into the fuse box. IT was kinda cool.. if I would have kept the car runing.. I would have done it right.

soo you just turn the key to "pwr" , but dont crank the ignition, right. then hit the buttom, and is a off switch too like a kill switch

Like with everything, it all depends. Some are just a toggle type switch that engage the starter only when you hold the button.. some are electronic and can turn on and offf the car.. etc. You will just need to research what you want to do.. what you want to sspend.. and if its worth it. Just another thing that can go wrong..

    Dr. Crash,
so do you find it annoying to turn the key then push to start? I want to do it, but it just seems like its adding an extra step to something already pretty easy.

with a push button, would'nt it be easier for someone to swipe your car? a finger print start like what they have on some laotops would be pretty sweet.

if i had push button i would never want to take my key out of my pocket... maybe like an RFID setup... where i just had to carry a fob around...

It depends where you put the button. I have one in my SS where the cigarette lighter was. Since it's an M6, my hand would be there anyway to put the car in gear, so no extra step involved.
