    I have a 1998 z28. What does the air pump look like and where is it located?

    Once you open up the lower access panel it is not to bad. On mine I just had to remove two bolts and all the hoses and I could just pull out the pump (otherwise it would have been a pain to pull that last bolt out).

    Just rip it out and delete all the air lines in the engine bay. Get the code tuned out and boom... perfect. This winter I will be doing that to my car.

    I just did that with mine when I installed the headers and it cleans up the engine bay pretty good. Alot less clutter to deal with!

    If I remove the pump how do I delete the code(p0410) from the computer

    You will have to have someone tune your vehicle so they can remove the codes permanantly. Plus you will free up some ponies

    It is for emissions, basically it pumps fresh air into your exhaust so that the exhaust temp goes up and gets a better burn through the cats.
