98 or 99?
I'm looking at several Camaros.
In particular I'm looking at a 98 and a 99 both are LS1 with auto trans.
My questions are what are the differences? Computer tunability trans features etc.
Any feed back would be appreciated.

Thank you for the info.
I heard the 98 ECM was not as tunable as the 99-02. Is there any truth to that?

NBM / Silver- 00 SS / 71 SS Elcamino
I would get the 99. There are sutle differences if you plan to mod later down the road. IE: the '98 valve covers are different than the rest (You will have to get new ones if you plan on a H&C swap) , the cylinder walls are also thinner and cannot be bored as much.
If I were you, I would look for a 01 or an 02. They have all the upgraded features (LS6 intake manifold, No air or EGR, Slightly better flowing heads, thicker cylinder walls) to name a few.Last edited by Jays00ss; 03-16-2008 at 06:35 PM.
