5.7 Hemi vs. LS1, who will win?
Sorry if this has been adressed already but.....
Who has raced a 300M or a new charger. I've never read any specs on them. Also, which weighs more?

I am thinking you mean 300C...
The 300C or charger with the 5.7L Hemi you should be able to beat. The SRT-8 is a tougher nut to crack, they are low 13 capable in stock trim. What do they weigh? About 4000 lbs for either one of them. They have a far better traction control system than the F-body does though. If you have an auto with a converter in it, you should be fine. If you have a stick, don't blow a shift.

I had one next to me till 4th when I started to pull but had to shut down so don't know what the outcome would have been. I shifted at 5800 though but he had 2 other big adults with him in his car. I'de say even.

the srt 8 puts down about 425 to the crank i believe.....dont know, never ran one. a 5.7 liter hemi you should be whooping on because they are way heavier than an f-body. just my opinion...

i raced an srt-8 charger from a dead stop and was able to pull away from him but it wasnt an easy one... but i raced that same car on the highway we were rolling at about 70 and both nailed it at the same time and i have a stock gear ratio so i wasnt losing any top end...and i couldnt pull away at all it looked like he was holding back(due to fear) but i was wide open..id say from a stop ls1...on the highway from 70mph up...drivers race

do srt8 chargers have any stock appearance mods or can you only tell by the badges?

the problem is they are heavy cars with alot of power and they like to spin, if you can make your f-body hook dont be afraid of them, with an air lid and headers you will beat them everytime...
....but i did see a srt-8 jeep cheerokee run 13.3 at gateway , i was runnin 13.2 at they time with lid only

that srt cheroki is advertized to run 5.5 for the 0 to 60mph WET OR DRY, thats pretty imrpessive considering its a jeep lit alone a suv.

RED 35TH ANIVERSARY PKG- 2002 CAMARO SS 35th LE
The 5.7L hemi should be no sweat.. But the SRT-8 is another story.. I seen this one guy at the track he ran 13.1 his best.. also 13.3-4.. so they are capable of low 13's.. From a deadstop I would say its a driver's race.. dependin if he knew how to drive his SRT-8.. On the Freeway I would say a MARO would have the slight advantage until u pop the speedo.. 167mph.. The SRT-8 top out at 170-175.. somewhere around their.. Don't forget they have a 6-speed Auto-Trans.. Which is the same as mercedes Benz..

IMO from what i have been reading on all these threads rrgray8 is on bought time. every post he says i was going 130+. either you will be dead, your driveshaft will come through your floor and rip a leg off, or you will lose your liscense and at those speeds your car will have a light bar on it and you wont be driving. i will stay out of georgia with idiots like you on the road... maybe you should pick up a hobby like getting laid.
