    440 LSX build

I sent a rod through the side of the 408 and also through the oil pan. It wasn't pretty and I wasn't the track favorite that day. So- here we go again. Big cube, high compression build.

    -Bullet Racing Cam 280/298 799/782 114 LSA
    -Manton 1/2" pushrods
    -Isky Red Zone Lifters
    -Callies Dragonslayer crank
    -Callies I beam rods
    -Wiseco pistsons
    -Mast Motorsports/Carys 4500 series intake
    -Accufab 4500 series throttle body
-Wilson Pro Flo 350hp nitrous plate system
    -Aviaid dry sump oil system
    -Holly Dominator series EFI computer
-Midwest Chassis FAB9 rear w/ Strange center section 4.11 gears
-ATI reverse manual valve body TH400 transmission
    -Circle D 5200 stall converter
    -Magnafuel external fuel pump/fuel system
    -Mini tubbed
-Pharro Performance custom front bumper support
    - Weld RTS rims with Mickey Thompson drag radials
    -Aerospace drag brakes
    -Burkhart Racing manual steering
-Burkhart Racing tubular K member, tubular A arms

Dry sump is plumbed and the Holly EFI is wired with a base tune loaded in. The Nasty Performance fabricated valve covers I used on the 408 didn't clear the new rockers so I ordered a new set from All Pro, which will be delivered today. The car cranks but won't turn over- ditched the red top for a new battery and ran a new ground cable. If the starter is shot I'll go with a Tilton.

This is Frank from Facebook, damn that is bad ass man. Did you build the motor yourself?
Those specs are out of this world haha.

Would love to see more on this car.

Hey man, thanks. No I had the motor professionally built. I'll have some videos and stuff up once the car is cleaned up and on the dyno.

I should have upgraded the rods from Callies H to I beams and put a dry sump on the last motor, for the RPMs I was trying to turn. It was a 9 sec NA motor all day long and had more potential left in it. The 408 was 13.6:1 and had TF 235 heads and a big cam in it. From what I was told to expect out of my 440, it would have taken a 250 shot on top of the old motor to equal what this one will make NA.
