2010 SS Camaro Road Test
Sorry guys didnt know were to exactly post it but since its the new camaro i thought you guys would like to see it either way. I thought for some reason it would be faster 13.0 quarter mile at about 111mph and .88 G's was a bit suprising in a bad way. Maybe because its heavy, not broken in yet, the driver wasnt very good, i dont know but was expecting it to do a bit better at 420HP. Either way its a nice looking car.

thats a set of tires away from a bone stock 12 sec. car. seems like they where having a lot of traction problems.

I think the big rims and tires not being wide enough really hurt it. At the same time 18's wouldnt look so good on a big bulky car like this unless its really lowered and what style of 18's you use. I just think the rim and tire combo is a handicap, they shouldve gone a bit wider at the rears atleast. Either way on the second link that doozjamann posted shows about the same E.T and MPH but i think is a better video. Kinda found it funny that they said the V6 is almost as fast as the 02 V8's last time they tested.

Was I the only one impressed with the handling? The braking was BAD ASS. Fuckin 105 feet stoppage? Thats great.

B2300 (Fluffy) Retired- Plain-Jane Dodge Truck
111 mph is enough to run high 12's on stock street tires, and low-mid 12's on a slick.
Skip shift again? Yuk.

They ran a 14.0 in an LS2 GTO when they came out...
They were comparing the GTO to the WRX STI and were clearly biased. After watching that video and reading some of their articles I have no respect for them whatsoever.
Bone stock I ran 13.3 consistently in my GTO. I am not the best driver in the world but who ever they had driving the GTO was obviously horrible.Last edited by wooddaniel; 03-24-2009 at 09:31 PM.

LOL a 14 flat in a GTO, was the guy sleeping at the wheel. Hell, in my 01 SS back a few years ago at 2700 Elevation i would pull 13.5's

IMO, those #'s are phenominal for that vehicle. GM expected low 13's, not 13 flat! I am definitely impressed. It's a full 1/2 second faster than its nearest rival, and our cars were not that fast from the factory. Lets just hope these cars take to mods like the LS1 does!! I forsee quite a bit of 11 second 5th gens!
