Anyone raced a new camaro ss? Are they a lot faster than the ls 1 cars?

raced one 2 nites ago. he was on the losing end of that one!! We did a 40 pull and from a dig and I wasted him both times. it was nice

stock vs. stock the 2010 is faster. But honestly, when is the last time you saw a stock LS1?!?!?

Like said above, stock for stock its close IMO.
Now if you happen to run across a new Camaro SMS 620X, don't waste your gas or you'll be totally smoked. 715HP, 700 lb ft torque...killer.

Raced a stock one on the street, with my wifes car,,,I pulled out relatively easy on him.

Last club track day I raced one heads up 3 times and won twice (I missed a gear on the losing run,,,lol)
He was modded with a procharger,,,and trapped 118 mph. But just couldn't get it out of the 13's

I was only trapping 111 mph (near stock LS1) but I outdrove him every time and had 2 cars on him at the finish line. He was coming pretty fast though

In stock form though, they aren't that much of a race.

Not much.. MAF, lid, CAI, TB bypass, smooth bellow, plugs and wires, 3.42 gears, a couple suspensions mods and a mild street tune. Plus the 02 upgrades.. LS6 intake and LS6 block and whatnot.. 345 RWHP... alot more to come

You would probably have as much of a chance coming accross a Lambo

I wouldn't even worry about it,,,,these particular camaro's are so damn expensive I doubt there will be many running around,,,,AT ALL. The ones that do sell will be parked more than likely. Know what I mean??
