2002 Z28 4l60e Baseline Numbers
I was just wondering what base line numbers the 2002 Ls1 made with the ls6 intake and an automatic 4l60e and 2:73 gearing. My research has given me all kinds of numbers so i was just curious to what they made of the show room floor
That being said i was curious to what numbers my car would put down with some mods im making in the future and have already done. Ive already got a 3" flowmaster catback, K&N filter, SLP Lid. and im Planning on doing the SLP bellow, Hooker Lt's and 3" Catted Y pipe, larger TB. Motor also has 115k on it so its probably not in its "prime" but i do run it on 93 prem.
I would also like to cam it in the future but i dont know where i want to head with that yet so i dont want to confuse anyone by throwing that in there b.c i understand cams can help at both ends of the spectrum.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Stone stock with 29,xxx mile on it my 2002 Z28 A4 2.73 geared car put down 306 rwhp and 323 rwt on a Dynojet here in Phoenix. And, yes it was "warmish" (maybe 85-90).

I'm on my 3rd LS1 Camaro.
Car 1 was a 2001 A4 2.73. It was 305, I don't remeber the torque. about 8,000 miles.
Car 2 was a 2002 A4 with 3.08 gears and an LS6 block. Stock it put 318 down and with a dyno tune, Corsa catback and lid put 335. Stock it had 4500 miles and tuned was at 7500 miles.
Car 3 is a 2002 A4 2.73. I'm not sure about stock, but with a Diablosport Predator, Magnaflow catback and a lid, it put 322 to the wheels at 61,000 miles.
My guess is on the low side you have 300 to the wheels and on the high side I'd guess 325 stock.
With the lid, catback and good sparkplugs and wires, I'd guess you would be between 310 and 330 with your miles. With the second set of mods you should get into the high 330's to low 350's and maybe 10-15 more if you get a good tune at a dyno shop.Last edited by fergyflyer; 06-17-2009 at 07:36 PM.

The 1st time I ran the 02 it blew the tires off the line which resulted in a 15 something at 100mph. Hmmm, got the mph, need to learn how to launch it.
By the end of the night it was consistant 13.70's at 103-4. Eventually I ran a best of 13.60's at ~105 when it was stock (on the stock RSA's).
Mind you this is in Phoenix Arizona in the springtime (almost summertime) with a temp of 90 deg and a DA of ~3500'.
Then came the mods.....Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 06-19-2009 at 01:18 PM.

just ran last night 90* and very hummid, with 235 street tires best i could pull off is 13.8@103 with a 2.1 60'. Doing a nice burnout, loaded up the converter and just stood on it till the end of the track.

well thats good to know, its a lil cooler where i live, and will be when i run, but i also have 275 bfgs that hook pritty well one the street, so it can only get better at the track
im hopeing my dyno numbers are in the 310's, and my track times are 8.5's on the 1/8th and 13.5's on the quarter... can only hope for the best

i had a problem with the car shifting into 4th about 50' from the end of the track and it would slow me down once i get my valve train in i should be able to raise my redline a tad to stop that last shift and get faster then 103.79 mph
