    Talking 2000 Camaro Service Engine Light

    My son has reported that the Service Engine Light has appeared but not stayed on steady. I have read on the WEB that a place like Autozone can read these codes...is that true? I also seen a WEB post about bypassing the ALDL by jumper on terminal A & B to read the "blinking" results on the dash...recommended or not? I would just like to try to get as munch info before it goes to the dealer with a "whatever it takes attitude and a I think I've been screwed result".

    don't go to the dealer, heck you can buy a code reader for 199.00 at kragan.
    just get it read and post the code , even do a search, some codes can stay on it doesn't affect engine performance.
