Charlie Smith has two great kids and one very nice Malibu to be proud of. Charlie eventually plans to hand over the ride to his son, but admits that he won't give it up until his son has a garage of his own though. During his build, Charlie had the frame sandblasted and painted and added polyurethane bushing with new rubber body mounts. The engine is a 355ci small-block that's utilizing a stock crank and mated with a set of H-beam rods and forged Speed-Pro pistons. Heads are port and polished iron pieces with 2.02/1.60-inch intake/exhaust valves. Transmission is a Muncie four-speed which he's still learning how to manage with the newfound power. Out back, the 12-bolt rearend was rebuilt with 3.90:1 Richmond gears. When it came to the interior, he added an all-new interior with rebuilt bucket seats.
