Impressive
It's a street car-seriously. It's tagged, insured, weighs a portly 3,680 pounds, and still knocks off bottom-10-second e.t.'s at 131 mph. Bob West out of Republic, Missouri, is the proud owner of one the finest performing '72 Chevelles we have ever seen. Underneath the hood is a 10.5:1 compression 505ci big-block that utilizes Brodix Race-Rite oval-port cylinder heads and a custom solid-roller camshaft. Inhaling the air is an Edelbrock RPM intake while a 1,000-cfm Holley HP carburetor takes on the role as its mixer. Expelling the spent fumes is a pair of 2-inch Hedman headers, and finishing off the remainder of the drivetrain is a Turbo 400 transmission and ATi converter combination that's mated to a Moser rearend with 4.10:1 gears.
