    02 tach

    My tach turns on and off every minute or so. Whats the problem.

    That's an odd issue. Do you have a scanner that you can plug in to see if the tach reading on it also drops in and out? I presume the tach runs off the crank position sensor, but I am not 100% on this without checking a schematic.

    Well, thats interesting because I have been getting that P0343 code, crank position sensor. That could explain things. When you say scan tool do you mean the TECH II? I noticed in the manual that you need a "scan tool" to sync a new cluster, is that a TECH II also? If not, what other scan tools can do this task? p.s., the schematic shows jack.
