It doesn't mention the RS or Z28 trims.. and only shows one V6 engine.. is this the case, or am I missing something?

i'm kinda surprised by the low fuel economy estimates especially since many here are pulling down high 20's and even some low 30's mpg with mods and no displacement on demand.

I don't think the EPA estimates are official yet.

The video does mention the RS trim being available on top of any other trim. They reduced to only one V6 for obvious practicality reasons. And the Z28 was routed to be announced and released at a later date after sales had begun of other trims, to ensure demand was high enough, I believe.

I posted this down below, but I will post it again in the "official thread"

    ---------------

    2010 Camaro

    LS and LT base packages

    3.6L VVT V6 - 300hp

    SS1 and SS2 packages

    L99 6.2 V8 - 400hp
    Active fuel management

    LS3 6.2 V8 - 422hp

    --------------------

Now the part that I think everyone wants to know

    SS w/ LS3
    0-60 4.7sec
    1/4 mile 13.3sec (w/ manual trans..automatic was still a 13.4)

    Base V6
    1/4 mile 14.4sec (w/ manual trans)

Base model cars have 2 transmission options
    6 speed automatic with TAPshift
    6 speed aisin warner manual

    SS w/ LS3
Tremec 6sp (not the T56, they have upgraded to something better but I can't remember the # designation.)

The gauge pod by the shifter is OPTIONAL... because I know some people were pissed about that.

    Offered in 10 different colors.

Vert will not be available until the 2nd model year of the Camaro... Late 2010

    Est. fuel economy : V6 ~26-28 highway L99 V8 ~ 23 highway LS3 ~ not rated

And last but not least, the vehicle will be starting production Feb 19th, 2009

This car is definitely going to be top of the line! Everything about it both performance and technological is outstanding. Start the countdown until Feb!!!!

Sweet, good info. I think its the TR6060 transmission they've changed to now.

Yeah... it was something like that... They flashed the spec sheet so quick at the meeting I didn't get a chance to read it. I checked Tremec's website and they have no listing for it.

Here's one I found for 05-08 Fords, probably same thing basically...

However, it will probably have gear ratios closer to the G8 GXP

The gear ratios on the 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP:
    1st: 3.01
    2nd: 2.07
    3rd: 1.43
    4th: 1.00
    5th: 0.84
    6th: 0.57

    ...I would assume so anyway

2016 Summit White 1SS - The DD - Mishimoto catch can, Solo axleback & secondary cat delete, LED sidemarkers & reverse lights, head/taillight blackout, RCC custom badges
2001 NBM Trans Am WS6 - Torquer V2 cam, Yank 3000 stall, Transgo kit, Racetronix fuel pump, TSP LTs, Magnaflow catback, Strano Springs/Koni STR.T shocks, 17x9.5/17x11 TTII's

I misspoke on my above post.

February 19th 2009, not 2010 is the official start of production, so us dealers should see them soon after. So probably just before spring time!

2010 Camaro pics on Paramount Studios lot: licked!

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/61591677@N00/?saved=1

I was jogging through Paramount Studios when I saw the bottom of a rim covered up. I thought that rim looks REALLY familiar.

Ignoring all security I ran over and tore off the cover...

    and there she was.

2010 Silver Camaro SS. This ones mine, I licked it.

Notice, no gaps around tail light lenses, and a AC plug coming out of the license plate bracket?

    Interior looked pretty nice.

Car was probably there for the set of My own worst enemy? Christian Slater show

Drove back saw Ron Perlman in his Mercedes..gotta love LA

Very nice find!! Had I known of the Lick Law, I would have snuck to the dealership and licked every Z06 I could find

Wonder what the AC plug was for?

Not me...I'm still waiting for a little sweeter deal (LS7, LS9, maybe in the Z28? )
