$500 Budget Camaro mods
I ve got a Frost tune, 160 thermostat, and a set of lower control arms to install this week. Just replaced the rear tail lamp with one that does not hold water.
Point is I have $500 to spend on modifications Engine or Suspension. Until after Christmas. Then I can starting saving some more cash.
I think I'm going pick up a set of B4C rims and drag radials not to be included in this budget.
So what do guys think. LCA relocations brackets and some 2 pt SFB or a LS6 intake? Torque arm. Or what.
I do not want any gears. The rear end was rebuilt just before I bought this car and I'm leaving it alone.

Might consider or look into the following:
- Subframe connectors
- Torque Arm
- Pan Hard Bar
- Headers (might not be doable with budget)

+1 on subframe connectors. Highly recommend a set of UMI 2 point bolt ins.

Got my 160 t stat put in, PCM tuned by Frost, new leather steering wheel put on and slapped some lower control arms on. Got an appointment with an upholstery guy to look at some bad sticking on the rear seat on Monday and a paint and body guy to fix some scratches. Moving right along on this project.

Decided to spend my budget on a set of SS 10 spoke 17 inch rims. Bought a used rear seat to replace my torn leather one. Picking up a set of sun visors to be covered tomorrow. Wanted performance goods but decided to go appearance until next year. Thanks all.

That works. There will always be something else to spend money on later. Did your source the seat from an F-body vendor?

I have been meeting local 4th gen parts guys and found one close by. These are people like yourself that have great experience and a long GM history. And have given me alot of good advice. Last night I learned about the construction of the 93-98 roof plastic epoxy.

^^ If you mean the nasty adhesive that permeates the panel... that was a 4th gen issue ('98 - '02). Ask me how I know.

Not yet. New panel still sits in the basement - painted and ready to go.

Haven't had that issue thankfully.

How's the PCM tune? One old guy is looking for a tune and initially looking at predator diablo tuner, that's for his 99 z. He heard adjusting the part throttle shift points, rev limits, line pressure, etc would make a good difference. I heard some opposite stories though.

Frost does a good job he's quick too. Just follow the instructions on his website for removing the PCM mail it in then in a few day you'll gain some good power. I'm having my setup dynoed in February so I ll post the results.

Frost is great, I'm another one of his ECM programs when I was just mild bolt ons. For autos you get benefit more because he makes ajustments to the shift points on the auto's to keep it in their powerband.
