Navy Blue Metallic- 1998 Trans Am
T56 swap
My 4l60e in my 98 trans am died and I want to do the t56 swap. I need any and all parts. I need a good used t56 for a reasonable price. I also need pedals, slave cylinder, m6 console, and anything else needed.

Get me a parts list of what you need and I'll get you a price. I'm about 6 hours away and would be willing to meet half way for a fee.

I need the pedal assembly, shifter, clutch, flywheel, and t56 transmission, 6 speed torque arm and bracket, 6 speed crossmember, flywheel cover, pressure plate, master/slave clutch cylinder. I think thats about all but if theres anything else you know of that i need for the swap let me know.

Are the driveshafts the same? And you'll need the console and shifter boots. My console is missing the lid, but other than that in good shape. What about the PCM? Can you reprogam yours or will you need mine?
If I pull some body panels, doors, and maybe some interior, I would sell the car for $3300. You would get a rolling car with motor, trans, pcm, and full supension. And it would have everything you need except the lid to the console.
Or if you want, once we figure out everything you need I will work on a price for just parts. But looks like it will be around $2k

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
the pcm will need to be reprogrammed..he does not need yours.
sorry OP but 2k isnt that bad for that type of swap..you didn't expect it to be cheaper did you ? this is why it is easier to just sell your car and buy a t56 or at least save up your money and piece it together

I need the trans, shifter, boot, console, flexplate, pressure plate, bell housing, pedals, master slave clutch cylinder, 6 speed crossmember, 6 speed torque arm and bracket. I'll make you a deal. You come to my house and I'll help you pull anything off you want (we can use my tools). What ever part we pull off we will look up on GMPartsdirect.com and you pay half what they have it listed for.
