LS1 in SoCal Area
Looking for a complete LS1 with wiring harness, no trans.
Going to go in my '70 Porsche 911. Looking to spend between $2000 and $2500 depending on miles. Don't want to have to rebuild it before putting it in.

Matt,
I would check the local auto recyclers. Having grown up in the L.A. area I know that there are plenty there to choose from. You should be able to pick up an engine for about a 1,000.00 with low miles. Make sure you get everything with the engine. When I did my swap I saw the Silverado it came out of and made sure I got everything.
I purchased mine in Sacramento, CA. Just break out the phone book and start calling.
Good luck,
Bill
