    Headlight Motor

    Just like the tittle says, i need a good working headlight motor to go on my 98 formula. Price shipped to 79605.

    is it grinding when you set the alarm? if so you just need the gear. if that is the case pm me. i'll send you a link.

    it was just grinding when it went down, i took the lift arm off and turned it 180* to use the other half of the gear, then it was grinding while going up and the light would bounce. I tried to put it back to how it was before and now the gear is just shot. I've seen the kit to replace the gear, i just thought i would change the whole motor if i could get one for a good price.

    now i need to change it asap and i found that autozone sells replacement gears for $15 so i'm going to just go with that for now.

    are they plastic? if not it's better to spend the 45 on the brass ones. let us know how it goes.

    i'm pretty sure the one i ordered is plastic. But it will be here tomorrow morning through napa, like i said i needed one ASAP since my headlight wouldn't go up at all. I will be getting the brass ones eventually but this one was only $12 so not to bad..

    i pulled the headlight assem. out of the car and took the motor apart to see how the gear looked, wow... i think it had already been turned before because the entire gear was wore down, even missing a couple teeth...
