Exclamation Rear End Parts For Sale

I've got a used rear axle assembly I need to get rid of. It was rebuilt last year with Motive Performance 4.10's, but the mechanic who installed the seal didn't tighten the pinion nut enough. Earlier in the spring, I found out that the pinion had worked itself loose and was banging on the carrier, causing some indentations. The gear itself looked fine.

    Here's the assembly:

    Another angle: http://i43.tinypic.com/30mqxjs.jpg

    Damage on the carrier: http://i43.tinypic.com/m23kp.jpg

    Close-up: http://i44.tinypic.com/4jvs05.jpg

It's a NW9 (traction control) rear from a '02 Trans Am with around 26,000 miles. Since I already replaced the rear on my car, I have the spare assembly to get rid of. Everything in the first picture is included (including wheel sensors), and everything on the rear works perfectly, except for the carrier and the pinion gear. I'm not saying either of those parts are bad, just that they were banging against each other, so it's your call.

I live in 44147 (4 minutes from I-77), so you'd have to come get it. I could help you load it onto a truck or whatever. I was looking to get $100-$150 out of it, but price is definitely negotiable.

I also have some assorted other spare rear parts.

    From '01 Camaro w/70,000 miles:
    - L & R lower control arms
    - Pitman arm
    - L & R rear brake calipers
    - 1 wheel sensor
    - L & R rotors
    - Sway bar
    - Auburn posi w/ broken clutch pack

From '96 GMC Jimmy w/120,000 miles:
    - Empty 10-bolt rear axle assembly with axles & backing plates
    - Stock gears
    - Stock differential carrier (carrier only - nothing inside)

If anyone is interested in any of this stuff, please send me a PM. Price is definitely negotiable. If you'd like to come take a look at anything in person, that's cool too. Thanks for looking, guys.

Still have everything. I can probably split it up, if you only need certain parts. Price negotiable. Would like to get rid of all of this stuff soon.

    Bump.

I have the bolt, but I can't find the cross pin anywhere. I'll keep looking, but I'm pretty sure it's gone.

I was told that this rear will bolt up to any late-model 4th gen, including yours. Check your RPO codes (usually a label on the inside of the glovebox) for "NW9." If you've got NW9 there, this rear should be an exact fit.

As for the parts that need to be replaced, that's up to you. I did a pretty good job of explaining what happened, so the rest is up to your judgement. The only "damage" I could see from a visual inspection is that the carrier case was marked up from where the top of the pinion gear was apparently banging into it. If you'd like to come by and take a look at the rear yourself, just shoot me a PM.

    1969 Camaro RS

    Hi,
I am in need of the integral drum and backing plate that goes behind the rotor and also the parking brake cables. I already have the Caliper rotor and caliper mount. The ones I have are from a 2002 SS Camaro and they are 12" rotors.

Spider gears for the stock limited slip or for the the Auburn? I'm very willing to part with the Auburn ones, possibly with the stock, too.

Yep. Motive Performance 4:10s from Summit. About 2,000 miles on them.

I'm really interested in buying these gears off you! Are you looking to part with the entire rear end or would you be willing to just sell the gears to me?

    If so, how much? Thanks.
