    about the SLP rear-end cover. what exactly must your modify to make use of the cooling capabilities??? its in the SLP description, but i didnt think you had to do anything except bolt the unit on in place of your existing cover.

    jmhvenom, I'm about 6 hours from Cinci. I replied to your PM on LS1.com with specifics the other night.

    snake skinner00, as per SLP's installation instructions, "Using the attached template, modify the axle housing by grinding two oil passage holes in the rear housing for the cooler cover to function properly." The template shows two slits about a 1/2 inch wide by about 1 1/2 inches long that need to be ground out. I believe the cover will mount without grinding these out, but you'll not have the full cooling effect of the finned aluminum cover without making the slits. Let me know on the cover, as a sale is pending with a LS1tech member.
