Park Brake Cable Dust Boot Sets!
As many of you have found, the dust boots on the back of the park brake assembly tend to tear over time and let in a lot of dirt and stuff you just don't want in the park brake assembly. Should be an easy fix to just replace the boots but they don't seem to sell them anywhere except in a complete rebuild set for over $100. With the help of another member I was able to contact a parts wholesaler who had the boots but would only sell them in quantity. Acting on faith I bought 10 pairs thinking someone here would also like a set or two. I have 8 pairs to sell (one car needs one pair...unless you are like me and want to keep a spare set on the shelf). Time to see if I'm right.
For sale are one pair of brand new park brake cable dust boots (2 boots). They appear to be quality parts and just like OEM. Manufactured in Australia (no kangaroos or koalas were injured in production). For $15.00 I'll send you one pair to any address in the continental US. If you want two pair (4 boots) the price is $23.00. Send me a PM with your mailing address, how many pair you want and your email address and I will respond with a PayPal invoice. You do not have to have a PayPal account to make payment, just a credit card.
As far as I can tell, these boots fit all 1998-2002 F Body cars regardless of engine or axle.
Please ask any questions in advance of purchase. I can't afford to be mailing these back and forth and break even.
Steve

I would conservatively estimate that probably 70% of the F-bodies with original boots need new ones.

I'll check mine out this weekend and report back. Might get a pair anyone just to have in case.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

For those that are concerned given that these parts originate in Australia, I have confirmed that no Kangaroos, Wallabies, Koalas, Wombats, Platypus, Spiny Ant Eaters, Crocodiles, Bandicoots, Flying Foxes, Gliding Possums, or Dingos were harmed in the manufacture of these parts.
Now please help take these off my hands before my wife gets to say "I told you so!"

Boots received today! Thanks Steve -- really appreciate you doing this.
Come on guys... your cars need these as the stock boots disintegrate and allow dirt and debris into the backing plate and parking brake mechanism.

I'm going to keep this ad up until Monday morning (13 October) then I'm taking them over to eBay to get rid of any that are left. Please let me know if you want a set (see instructions in the first post of this thread).

Why wait until Monday, I don't really like Mondays anyway. Moved the boots over to eBay, if you want them you can get them here Parking Brake Boots Pair for 1998 2002 Firebird Camaro | eBay .
