Cummins guys are definitely the most obnoxious of the diesel guys. They somehow think it makes them cool to blow black smoke all over the place, with apparently little thought about how they're just losing power with it running like that...

Diesels, to me, are like a rhinoceros.

Everybody knows they are strong as shit, heavy and can tow about anything.
Some can really accelerate.
But,
They are ugly. They can't stop very well. They can't go around a corner fast.

that truck obviously has issues....took him a while just to get it to run. I agree that the dodge guys are by far the most obnoxious of the diesel crowd.....hell....of the car crowd too. Bunch of hicks all the way around. My truck smokes some when I go wot until it builds boost then it's not too bad at all really.....there's some smoke but you're going to have some. Nature of the beast. I see some cummins yahoo around town with stacks and the whole back of his tailgate is sooted up.....makes no sense to me.

It is kind of split around here between, cummins, powerstrokes. Duramax guys don't seem to drive to bad and most of the ones I see aren't modded but then again the cummins and powerstrokes have been around longer. The pre duramax GMs werent really worth modding. But a smoker is built into most tuners now, just dumps a bunch of fuel and creates a bunch of smoke for literally no reason.

What I can't stand is the smell. I know they make tons of torque but damn diesels STINK!!! Reminds me of being in the motor pool when I was in the Army.

FWIW, back then they had M60 tanks which ran on diesel...

And for the dicks in the crowd (you know who you are Mr Constellation), NO, they didn't run on steam...

That's what I cannot stand either, the f'ing stench. 30 years ago at school I made up my mind to never work on those things, and I never have and never regret it.
