Xbox 360 gurus, I need help and am lost!!

So I went out today and bought 2 plug and play cords/rechargeable batteries plugged one into the Xbox....no issues. It charged and is good to go. I plugged another into my laptop and its been charging for 10 hours now without going green. When I look it up under controllers in Control panel I get nothing but under device manager it is listed under

"Microsoft Common Controller for Windows Class"

and says its working properly and drivers are up to date. When I go to Windows Update it says there is a optional update for it but fails to update it with error codes. It doesn't work on my comp and will not complete a charge. Its brand new as of today. I'm lost!! I know this is a computer deal but its also a console deal kind of! HELP!!

Nevermind, I found it after about 2 hours of searching. I have a wireless controller which won't work. You need to get the special wired controller that states it is compatible with computers to work on the cover. Problem solved, but the damn thing still won't fully charge to green. More searching coming I guess

Well i do know the usb takes fugging forever to charge the battery, same goes for my mp3 player that takes 6hrs to charge threw the usb connector vs my wall charger that takes about an hr..

Thanks for the reply. I got it charged through the Xbox after about 5 minutes when I switched them over so it was taking a charge. I have a another weird problem that I already found a way around but its just weird......
