Xbox 360, it's just as good and you're not wasting 200 bucks for the ability to play blu-ray when it hasn't even been picked as the next thing yet.

Silver, Black- 03 Viper, 05 Escalade
I own all 3. I like Wii alot, then Ps3, then xbox 360. Resident Evil 5,Gran Turismo 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Go with PS3. It is also a multimedia center/ Blu-ray player.

Keep in mind he said money situation, I'd say the xbox cause its cheaper, but if that wasnt a problem I'd definately go with the PS3.

I almost bought an x box 360 yesterday..just for the new y2k7 baseball game and the blazing angels flight game..I will play these until bored and then give my 15 year old son my system,as I have done with the three other systems!We still play the old x box baseball though...lol..

360 all the way. Better games, better system all the way around.
An aside, the 360 supports HDDVD whereas the PS3 comes with a BlueRay player built in. Early indications are the HDDVD is going to kick BlueRay's ass up and down the street (a la VHS vs BetaMax).
Need the best reason why HDDVD is going to trump BlueRay? The pr0n industry is going HDDVD, and not BlueRay.
As info, though, I hate Sony, SOE, SCEA, and anything and everything associated with them.

+1 ... I don't like their over zealous anti-piracy systems. I would want a system where I can get all the games for free rather than $60 each which is insane. seems like 360 is more likely to have that , but i'm not sure. anyone know if you can copy 360 games? even if you could, I'm sure it doesnt work online anyway.. and onlike gaming is all I like to play.. maybe that's why i don't play computer games anymore,.\ Originally Posted by Wade M

nothing exclusive, it also has forza 2. i have both and the 360 is better. ps3 has its advantages, but in my opinion the 360 is a better buy.

I am not a fanboy, I have owned numerous video game systems. I have NEVER been impressed sony's consoles. the ps2 is overrated. They nickle and dime on every feature that should have been standard at that point. come on 2 controllers???? Originally Posted by amon37
