I'm at work, and my service writer calls me up front.
So I walk up there and there is this guy standing there and here is the conversation.

me-"Hi can I help you?"

him-" I was talking to one of your salesmen, and he said you're interested in Trans Ams?"

(I paused)

me-"....yea"

him-"well I have an '02 Trans Am WS6 Convertable (at this point I just thought he was going to ask me for advice or something!)

me-"ok"

him-" I'm looking to sell it, it only has 8000 miles on it and it's a convertable, would you be interested in anything like that? looking to get 55 for it"

(I paused again....)

me-"well I already have one and I'm not looking to buy............(then I thought damn $5500 is a smokin deal....then I thought again lol)

me-" 55......you mean $55,000??"

him-" yes $55,000....I've seen other cars online with more miles and not a converable going for $60,000"

Me.....stunned!!!-" honestly.....there is no way that you're going to sell that car for that much...it's only worth about half of that...if that!!"

him-"ok, thanks"

Hi. That is a nice looking car you have. In looking at the price, I assume it was a typo and it was to be $5,000. That seems low. Is there damage or a title issue with the car as kbb.com suggested retail is nearly $26K.

Can't wait to hear the condescending response I'm sure he'll have about how I know nothing about cars.
