Wow is this true? (About 2v mustangs)
This guy on you tube said he ran 12.16 with a bolt on's, 4.10 and drag suspension, plus cam in a 03 gt. Is this possible?

bolt ons to stang owners means something diferent than a bolt on ls1---- they replace basically everything on the car except the heads and block, massive weight reduction and even un hooking the power steering and a\c--- so he probably did do it, but the car totally sucks now for everything but the strip.

its possible. i went 13.3@101 back in 05 with my 88 notch. motor had 155k miles on it. i had worn QTPs, 355 gears with H pipe and flows. still stock timing. giving right driver and suspension its very well possible. just like high 12s stock Ls1 is typical

Yes its possible, in one of his comments his response was:
Full boltons, 410s, built rear, HiTech stage 2 cams, racecraft inc tubular front suspension, Weld prostars, MT ET Streets 26x11.5x15. Car weighed in at 3100 with me in it, No seats, tubular suspension, door panels and a few little other things. Nothing to extreme.
Yes with the weight reduction, suspension, gears, tires, decent cams, why isnt it possible?
Im sure he has a tune too but I think some of you guys dont give mustangs enough credit. for what they have, they arent that bad.

point i was making was. yes its possible it takes some effort and driving skills to turn adnormal times from the net times. same thing with ls1s. most drivers suck and cant even get a modded ls1 into the 12s. take a good skilled driver and it goes 12s with ease. this can be said for other vehicles as well.

so in otherwords, you can spend 80k+ on the shelby, and still get spank by ls1's with bolt-ons.
And am I understanding right that the GT500KR is better than the usual GT500 ?
