Would you or are you an organ donor?

Is anyone here an organ donor? I am thinking about it but need help deciding about it. So, if you are not one already, would you do it?

i wasn't... i just felt weird to me knowing that i will be hacked apart when i die... but now that i'm a bit older i thought about it again... i'm not gong to need them... i could save some ones life... i might be gone from this world but i can still do something to help this forsaken place...
so i'm an organ donor now...

hey when im gone i don't need em!! and its cool that you could save someones life. the only thing i dont like about it is the idea that the doctors/hospitals are makin money/profit from my organs.

Actually, in this country, body parts are never sold. It is just the medical transplant services that cost money.

They can cut me up and pass me around. Once I'm dead, I don't care.

i dont know, ive got a few friends in the medical field that claim they seen proof that there is profit made off of the organs themselves. but hopefully your right and maybe theres not.

You don't have a category for me so I didn't vote. I would donate my organs if I could. I was an organ donor before I was diagnosed as having Hep C so my organs are worthless to any one else but me.

I just noticed I had forgotten to check YES and sign my License when I got my Kentucky one when I moved back here last summer. So yeah, I am! If my death can save a life or two when it happens - then sweet!

I'm an organ donor because checking the box on the application made my drivers license a few bucks cheaper.

no i would rather have someone fight to save my life than to just write me off as dead and butcher me.........maybe its a rumor but i always heard that if you were an organ donor there was some stipulation that if you died once, or whatever that they would just stop trying to revive you....if you werent a donor they would keep going,....maybe bullshit, but thats what i heard

yeah... that is BS... organs are not in that much of a demand...

Yes I think you are a selfish POS if you can't or won't donate your usable organs when you die. There are SOOOOOO many people out there that can live a healthy life after receiving one of your organs.
