This would make a NASCAR race very interesting
I would like to know what everybody thinks..........................
A couple of days before every race they always have qualifying to see who gets the pole position and whos 2nd, 3rd and on and on.
What if.............They would have a drawing to "Flip the Field", (whear the pole sitter would be last and the driver to be last be on the pole and so on).
But this would only happen two races out the entire season. The way they would decide when to do this would be right before the race, it would be right on the race track so the entire crowd can see the drawing, much like the drawing of the states lottery numbers.
You got to admitt, that would be one very interesting race

We had varied inversions when I raced in Late Models here in Colorado (NASCAR Weekly Racing Series). The number one qualifier would draw a pill and the inversion would be from 2-12. Even running relatively short races (compared to a Sprint Cup race), the cream still rose to the top pretty quickly. I guess in some instances it did make it more exciting for fans. However, like it also did at the local level, when you put slow guys directly in front of the fast guys, you're going to wreck more cars and the racers wont like it. With the length of those races though, starting position really isn't a huge deal at a lot of tracks, and I don't think it would change much in a Sprint Cup race.
